I realize you posted this a year ago, but I just wanted to say that groupon is a great deal if you know for sure what you are getting. My daughter and son-in-law live in Columbus and they like to eat at different places and try new restaurants. So they purchased a restaurant 1/2 price coupon through Groupon, and to their surprise, theoffer was only for a certain meal and it was something they didn’t particularly like. So, the meal ended up costing them a bundle and they were expection to only have to pay for a couple drinks and tip.
So just beware!

I normally use the Downey wrinkle release, but ran out tonight, so I figured I would use a little downey with water in my old spray bottle. It worked wonderful, and now I figure I will do it myself the homemade way and get the money in my pocket.

Another great site to use is http://www.halfoffdeals.com We’ve used them for years going to Chicago (they are in many towns…not just Chicago). Another good “trick” is to check out their CLEARANCE SECTION. We’ve gotten $50 gift certificates for as low as $7 and $12 (and these places were tremendous).

Thanks for commenting Danielle! Another good place to get half-price gift cards is through local radio and TV stations (at least around here). Many of them have started offer “meal deals” and other half-priced gift cards.

This is as GREAT idea – I never thought about this for people! I’ve used it a few times for myself… but they would work so great as gifts! I was actually going around different sites and blogs looking for something to get my boyfriend for our first Christmas together… and all I have come up with so far is a personalized ornament (kind of like these http://www.ornamentsandmore.com/1st-christmas-ornaments.aspx ) … but I think paired with some groupon coupons to some new places to eat at in Vancouver would be awesome!!!

That’s interesting Valerie. When I received mine they didn’t have them labeled vendor samples. Maybe they’ve stopped this practice.

Thanks for sharing the information on your site! It is very cool! Do you have any plans to add listings from the local newspaper? In our area at least, there are many more listings in the paper than on Craigs List. It would be nice to have both sources in one spot to really save time.
